Droylsden – M60 access via Ashton-Under-Lyne, Junction 23.

Tameside MBC has selected major North West developer Watkin Jones to bring forward a major new canal-side development scheme that will promote high quality mixed-use waterside redevelopment including plans for the marina, hotel and new housing. The scheme is one of many exciting projects planned for the area which will also include new retail units to take the place of the old Co-op shopping giant.

Major investors in Droylsden currently include Centura Foods, James Robertson & Sons, Raelbrook, Seafood International and Tesco Plc. Communications to the town are also under review with a new town plan currently under consideration.
