Stalybridge Development Opportunities (10 minutes from M60)
The
area has great potential for re-development after land assembly. Consisting
mostly of older industrial premises adjacent to the town centre, there
is potential for re-development, taking advantage of the proximity to
the bus station, railway station and nearby retailing. Re-development
has the potential to improve access to a riverside environment and improve
links to the canal. The opportunity to increase parking for Public Transport
users could be maximised under this scheme.
The
Development Brief for the area identified in more detail the Council’s
aspirations and objectives. As part of this objective the redevelopment
of Longlands Mill is high priority with a quality mixed use end scheme
envisaged for this priority site.
